Medical Assistant Float– UT Urgent Care Northshore

UT Urgent Care Clinic is seeking an experienced medical assistant float for our Northshore location. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent customer service skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Requirements

• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families during visit, by demonstrating sensitivity to patients’ comfort and privacy.
• Accurately records patient history, complete patient vitals, retrieves basic condition of patient and reports to appropriate practitioner.
• Assists provider with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, such as: applying splints and wound dressings, collecting and recording various laboratory tests, administering oral and injectable medication.
• Obtain and record demographic, insurance and financial information
• Collect co-pay, co-insurances and past due balances
• Verify insurance eligibility and ability to relay relevant information on payment policies.
