Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, wiring, panels, transformers, lighting, and control systems in accordance with NEC and local codes.
- Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting using appropriate meters and diagnostic tools; identify root causes and implement safe repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, schematics, and specifications to execute work accurately.
- Install and terminate equipment such as switchgear, breakers, panels, motor controls, VFDs, and distribution systems.
- Support critical environments (when applicable) including UPS systems, generators, PDUs/RPPs, grounding/bonding, and high-reliability electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements including LOTO, arc-flash procedures, PPE use, and job hazard analysis.
- Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to meet schedules and maintain workflow on active job sites.
- Document work performed, material usage, and field changes; communicate progress and issues promptly.
- Travel to regional/out-of-state sites as assigned (50%–75%), including occasional overnight stays and flexible scheduling.
