Job Description
Upchurch is a rapidly growing building engineering company providing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services across the southeastern United States. The Senior Piping Estimator leads the estimating and bidding process for piping and mechanical construction projects, including detailed takeoffs, pricing, and proposal development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8–12+ years of piping or mechanical estimating experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, fittings, valves, and installation methods
- Proficiency with estimating software (AccuBid, Bluebeam)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and mechanical drawings
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of ASME piping codes (e.g., B31 series) (preferred)
