Job Description
Upgrade is seeking a Product Counsel to provide legal guidance on their financial products, working cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Marketing, Engineering, and Risk teams. They focus on building customer relationships, managing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires a skilled individual comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving technology.
Requirements
- J.D. and Bar membership in good standing
- 5+ years advising financial institutions/fintech companies as a lawyer at a leading law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience advising on financial products, specifically consumer loans, deposit accounts and payments, experience with AI a plus
- Resiliency and comfort serving as a trusted business partner
- Quick adopter of new and evolving technology
