Job Description
The Solar Systems Technician oversees the installation of solar systems, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards. Coordinates with the Installation Manager and performs administrative tasks, representing the company to government offices.
Requirements
- Provide technical guidelines and direction to leaders, installation managers, installers, and sub-contractors to ensure technical compliance and safety standards.
- Train staff on company practices and expectations for solar system installation.
- Represent the company to government organizations to obtain permits and certifications.
- Monitor contractor and sub-contractor work to ensure adherence to plans and schedules.
- Evaluate potential solar installation sites to determine viability and design requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to installers and other solar professionals.
- Coordinate project solar installation inspections.
- Start up and diagnose solar systems for testing and implementation.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and manage necessary supplies.
- Diagnose and correct solar system faults using test equipment and manual tools.
