Job Description
Free People is seeking a Designer of Skirts. The Designer actively participates in concepting and designing monthly collections, sketching and sewing original ideas for key meetings, and manages an assistant to ensure that designs are technically sound and speak to the Free People customer.
Requirements
- Research, Ideate and Design monthly collections highlighting a range of techniques, trends and sensibilities for Free People Skirts.
- Recognize and accurately forecast fashion and cultural trends and understand how they relate to the Free People customer.
- Develop and present creative ideas and respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions.
- Effectively use Procreate and PhotoShop for the CADing of design work and presentations.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners.
- Ability to drape, mock/sew and sketch.
- Experience in Ai Design programs welcomed but not required.
- Ability to be on-site 3-5 days per week in Philadelphia, PA.
