Free People Movement Associate Designer - To/From(Casual)

Free People Movement is seeking an Associate Designer to support the design and development of private label apparel within our To/From category. This role is integral to bringing product from concept through execution, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful, fashion-forward designs.

Requirements

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field and 4+ Years Design Experience Preferred
• Ability to identify emerging trends and translate aspirational ideas into commercially relevant product
• Experience researching color, print, and fabric direction 9–12 months ahead of season
• Strong hand sketching and CAD skills; proficiency in Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Familiarity with AI tools is a plus
• Solid understanding of Cut & Sew knits (jersey) and woven fabrications, applied to fit and design
• Ability to drape, mock, and sew
• Knitwear or sweater experience is a plus
• Highly organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Buying, and partners
• Ability to manage multiple styles across various stages of development
• Strong balance of creative vision and business needs, delivering cost-effective design solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
