Job Description
The Case Manager Supervisor - Homeless Families is responsible for providing direct service provision to residents and supervising the Recreational Specialist or Residential Specialist. The position involves conducting intake interviews, counseling, group counseling, advocacy services, referrals, and follow-up, as well as making linkages to community agencies for permanent housing, aftercare services, and public assistance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services
- Three years of crisis counseling experience in a residential shelter for homeless individuals and/or families
- Training and experience in assessing vocational and educational needs and aptitudes of clients
- Familiarity with DHS regulations and DHS Cares Reporting
- Ability to deliver client services, including communication and listening skills, and group counseling
- Computer-literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
