Job Description
The Senior Director of Institutional Giving will oversee all aspects of institutional giving at Urban Resource Institute, including corporate partnerships, private foundations, and government grant strategy. They will drive and scale a comprehensive institutional fundraising program that fuels URI's growth and impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit institutional fundraising
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level development role
- Deep understanding of New York's philanthropic landscape and national funder networks
- Connections to NYC institutional donors that align with URI's areas of work
- Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies
- Demonstrated success cultivating and closing six- and seven-figure grants and gifts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Deep commitment to URI's mission and values
