Social Worker - Domestic Violence Programs

We are seeking a full-time Social Worker to provide direct client-driven case management services to help clients resolve or mitigate barriers to securing and maintaining safety and appropriate services. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) with at least one year of counseling experience, preferably in a residential shelter.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) with at least one year of counseling experience, preferably in a residential shelter
• One year of crisis counseling experience, preferred in a residential shelter for victims of domestic violence
• Training and experience in assessing vocational and educational needs and aptitudes of clients
• Experience engaging clients through the process of obtaining Public Assistance, Medicaid, and other benefits
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to domestic violence issues
• Ability to deliver client services including communication and listening skills, understanding of human interaction and personality development, and demonstrated skills in group counseling
