The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records.
Requirements
- Assesses patient problems both in the office and on the phone, to determine disposition of patient.
- Facilitates patient care and documents all communication into the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Communicates physician treatment plan including lab/imaging results to patients and documents appropriately within the EMR.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors patients for reactions or side effects per written provider orders.
- Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepares rooms, steriles instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
- Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Instructs individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education and disease prevention.
- Develops health improvement programs.
- Engages in continuous learning, adjusts the application knowledge, skills and abilities while addressing new challenges as contextual realities change.
- Performs other position related duties as assigned.
