Job Description
Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Materials Engineer to support sustaining and development programs for propulsion and defense systems. This role involves material selection, process development, testing, and standards development, focusing on metal materials, particularly aerospace metals and additive processes. The engineer will contribute to building and maintaining an internal materials lab and collaborating with various engineering groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering
- 5+ years in a metals materials engineering roles the aerospace industry
- Experience with forgings, additive, wrought product
- Experience with industry standards for materials data analysis (MMPDS)
- Experience with a variety of aerospace metals including nickel based alloys, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, and titanium alloys
