Convergint is looking for a full-time Electrical Installer to join our amazing culture. As an Electrical Installer, you will install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety with minimal guidance as needed. You will work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training.
Requirements
- Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
- Solid Construction skills and understanding of system plans.
- Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
- Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
- Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
- Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
