AWS Cloud Engineer / Architect

uShip is seeking a highly motivated AWS Cloud Engineer / Architect to join our IT Services team. The ideal candidate will help drive the architecture and automation of our cloud environment while supporting modern DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and secure platform operations.

Requirements

• AWS Certification at the Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Administrator Associate level.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure within AWS production environments.
• 2+ years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Experience designing and operating cloud-native architectures, including microservices and serverless platforms.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, IAM, security controls, and architecture best practices.
• Experience administering Linux-based systems in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerized workloads and orchestration platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed cloud systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small, high-impact team environment.
