Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Scientist to support the development and technical stewardship of Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) standards and other scientific products. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, and relevant experience in food safety, food quality, or analytical chemistry.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry or allied field
- 7-10 years of relevant experience for Senior Scientist I
- 10-13 years of relevant experience for Senior Scientist II
- MS in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry or allied field
- 11-13 years of relevant experience for Senior Scientist I
- 13-15 years of relevant experience for Senior Scientist II
- Experience related to food safety, food quality, or analytical chemistry
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret data from various analytical tests
- Experience in developing, validating, using, or evaluating food analytical methods
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with technical and non-technical stakeholders
