Licensed Vocational Nurse-Intermediate

Provides general nursing care to patients under supervision by an RN, a Dentist, or a member of the Medical Staff.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of vocational nursing experience is required.
• Sorts, prioritizes, and manages patient messages and calls to assist providers in assessing and caring for patients;
• Takes vital signs and medical history;
• Administers medication;
• Coordinates prescription refills and authorizations following protocol;
• Maintains assigned work area with supplies and equipment;
• Performs Point of Care Testing (POCT);
• Documents and reports clinical findings to Registered Nurse (RN) in charge and/or Provider.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
