Under general supervision, performs general clinical duties and some administrative tasks as a Medical Assistant at an outpatient care site.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of directly-related experience as a Medical Assistant is required
- Intakes patients by obtaining vital signs, weight, history, chief complaint, medications, allergies, and documents appropriately in the EMR
- Reports all pertinent findings to Physicians
- Manages patient appointments according to the Physician's schedules and protocols
- Handles and answers external as well as internal phone calls and assists in department call center transferring calls to the appropriate departments
