Medical Assistant-Intermediate (HOPD Gen Spine Center MARC)

Under general supervision, performs general clinical duties and some administrative tasks as a Medical Assistant at an outpatient care site.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of directly-related experience as a Medical Assistant is required
• Intakes patients by obtaining vital signs, weight, history, chief complaint, medications, allergies, and documents appropriately in the EMR
• Reports all pertinent findings to Physicians
• Manages patient appointments according to the Physician's schedules and protocols
• Handles and answers external as well as internal phone calls and assists in department call center transferring calls to the appropriate departments
