Job Description
As a Speech Therapist (PRN) at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper, you will provide therapy services to clients, including evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation. You will also supervise therapy assistants and communicate with healthcare providers. A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program and a Virginia State Speech Pathology License or Compact Privilege are required.
Requirements
- Responsible for providing therapy services consistent with licensure to clients
- Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable
- Communicate with other health care providers regarding client care and treatment plans
- Complete patient documentation in a timely manner to meet regulatory and organizational requirements
- Attend continuing education programs and present findings to appropriate staff as applicable
- Review and complete all insurance authorization requirements for patients in a timely manner
- Assist with performance improvement for rehab department and hospital
- Understand use and precautions of any treatments and equipment used
- Positively contributes to the departmental financial performance/productivity
