Job Description
Join our REMARKABLE UW Health team as a Medical Assistant to provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. Assist obstetricians/gynecologists, advanced practice providers, and certified nurse midwives in providing medical and surgical services. Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or licensure as an LPN or completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or one year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
- 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN (preferred)
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year (required)
- Licensure as an LPN (upon hire required)
- CPR/BLS certification (upon hire required)
