UW Health is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist II in inpatient settings, offering a 100% full-time, day shift position working remotely in Rockford, IL. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and Medical Coding Education.
- Active coding certification is required.
- 2+ years of progressive inpatient facility coding experience.
- 2+ years of inpatient facility coding experience in an Academic Medical Center and/or Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification.
- Graduate of a Health Information Technology program (preferred).
