Principal Data Engineer

Principal Data Engineer role at V2 AI, leading the design, architecture, and delivery of modern data platforms at scale, working with Databricks, AI, product, data, and architecture teams, and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and delivering modern data platforms and data engineering solutions at a Principal or Lead level
• Deep expertise with Databricks, Spark, and lakehouse architecture
• Strong experience building scalable data pipelines and distributed data processing systems
• Experience with data platform technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and modern cloud data ecosystems
• Strong cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP
• Deep understanding of data modelling, data governance, and scalable data architectures
• Experience integrating data platforms with AI/ML and analytics workloads
• Skilled at defining technical strategy, setting engineering standards, and driving best practices across teams
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across multiple projects
• Passionate about building high-quality data platforms, reusable frameworks, and scalable engineering solutions
• Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders across engineering, product, and leadership teams
