Assembly & Test/Tech 'A' - 2nd Shift

Assembles pneumatic and hydraulic valves, conducts high pressure and cryogenic testing, and performs various tests on systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to acceptance procedures.

Requirements

• Conducts high pressure and cryogenic testing safely
• Assembles and tests various valves and filters within allotted timeframe
• Calibrates test instruments according to specifications
• Analyzes test results and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications
• Records test procedures and results
• Compares results with specifications and documents test data
• Verifies dimensions of mechanical parts using hand-held measuring equipment
• Operates and maintains equipment such as Instron machines, AstroMed and mass spectrometer
• Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, quality control personnel and others regarding testing procedures and results
• Capable of operating airborne and structure borne noise measurement equipment
