Job Description
This role as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists the Physical Therapist in providing patient care, focusing on applying physical therapy techniques. Responsibilities include manual therapy, massage, treatment, fitting and training on orthopedic devices, and clerical tasks. The assistant must maintain confidentiality, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively.
Requirements
- Assist patients with active and passive manual therapeutic exercises.
- Apply traction to relieve neck and back pain.
- Monitor patient responses and collect data.
- Assist with fitting and training of patients on orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies.
