The Supervisor - Accounting role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, planning, and process improvement initiatives. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and data analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university (required)
- Minimum of five (5) years in a similar role within a business of comparable size and complexity
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft ERP
- Working knowledge of Hyperion Planning and Essbase
- Experience working with multi-currency ledgers and international locations
- Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize data
- Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing, and management systems
- Strong understanding of the local tax and employment legislation
- Working knowledge of document control systems and databases
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities effectively
- Effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills
- Works effectively independently or as part of a team on projects
- Demonstrates effective leadership and influencing skills
- Exercises sound judgment and makes decisions consistent with essential job functions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., using financial and logical functions, working with multiple worksheets and workbooks, importing and exporting information)
