Data Scientist

VALD is a technology company in the allied health industry, providing innovative human-measurement technology. They are looking for a Data Scientist to join their team and build the technical foundations for their future growth. In this role, you will lead improvements in normative data generation processes, develop machine learning models, and apply dimensional modelling expertise to enhance the VALD Lakehouse.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python (including PySpark and ML libraries), Databricks, SQL, Git, R, Excel, Power BI and R
• Proven experience building machine learning models in Python
• Expertise in delivering dimensional data models using Kimbal principles
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and its application in data science
