Internal Audit

Valero Energy Inc. is seeking an Internal Audit professional to work within the Internal Audit Department. The Auditor will evaluate financial and operational processes and controls, providing observations and recommendations based on their work. Responsibilities include carrying out audit assignments, assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls, identifying opportunities to enhance controls and improve processes, and preparing written reports summarizing audit results.

Requirements

• Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Hold a CPA or be in the process of obtaining it or other relevant qualification (e.g. CIA, CISA)
• Have at least 2 years’ experience in auditing and/or internal controls
• Must be bilingual French/English
• Be an excellent team player and communicator
• Be self-directed, solution-oriented and know how to take the initiative
• Be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
