Job Description
Valiant Residential is seeking a Property Accountant who is responsible for reconciling property cash accounts, monitoring accounts payable and receivable activity, and working closely with the property onsite team members. The Property Accountant will be responsible for entering general ledger journal entries, compiling financial statements for owners, and resolving tie out variances. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience in property management and accounting.
Requirements
- An associate degree in accounting is required
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software
- Ability to analyze financial statements
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Two to three years' experience in property management and accounting is helpful
- A general real estate background is helpful
- Experience with Yardi software is a plus
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
