Job Description
The Laboratory Toxicology Supervisor position is responsible for the technical operations related to Toxicology for Valley Medical and Wellness. This position reports to the Lab Manager, with indirect reporting to the Laboratory Medical Director and CEO for Valley Medical and Wellness.
Requirements
- Supervises, mentors, and develops technical and non-technical staff in the Toxicology Department
- Maintains skills and proficiency to perform bench duties on a daily basis
- Provides productivity goals and quality metrics to laboratory manager and director
- Helps with enforcing and managing policies and procedures
- Contributes to updating and writing SOPs as needed
- Performs and maintains assay quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Resolves any production errors as requested by management
- Promotes process improvement and ensures following of best laboratory practices
- Maintains and evaluates inventory control and reagent/instrument utilization to support laboratory operations and method development
