Associate Design Engineer

The Associate Design Engineer is responsible for structural analysis and design of standard products to be quoted and fabricated by the Valmont Utility Division, Steel Group. The incumbent will consult with senior engineers to ensure customer specifications are met and designs are feasible and efficient for manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field with 0-2 years of experience
• Technical competence in structural engineering
• Strengths in interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt and professionally communicate with a variety of people
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to solve complex problems with high attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment subject to specific deadlines
