Maintenance Technician role responsible for performing preventative maintenance & repairs on plant equipment and facilities, including hydraulic machines, presses, and cranes. Must be able to work independently, analyze equipment issues, and plan for future needs. Requires 6-9 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance, associate's degree, and working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
Requirements
- Perform preventative maintenance & repairs on plant equipment and facilities
- Repair worn parts, straighten and fabricate fixtures
- Participate in the installation of new equipment
- Seek out opportunities for efficiencies and improvements within the maintenance department
- Perform maintenance tasks according to support the minimization of downtime
- Support manufacturing demands including working during non-peak hours
- Respond to on-duty emergency requests and after-hours call-ins
- Perform strategic preventative maintenance; continuous improvement of maintenance systems and practices
- Perform general maintenance tasks including buildings, grounds, and snow removal
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to coordinate maintenance activities with other departments
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
- Use troubleshooting aids to diagnose equipment issues
