The Plant Manager is accountable for end-to-end operations of the Elkhart plant and for achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) objectives. The incumbent provides leadership, direction, planning, and control across manufacturing, materials/purchasing, production scheduling, and shipping to ensure products are produced safely, meet customer and regulatory requirements, and are delivered complete and on time.
Requirements
- Ensure that all administrative, supervisory and hourly positions are staffed with the best qualified personnel available.
- Drive team engagement through regular coaching, feedback and involvement in day-to-day operations.
- Foster an environment of open communication.
- Maintain required professional competencies; assess staffing levels and capability; and develop direct reports through training and development opportunities.
- Empower all employees to seek and recommend work methods, tools and procedures to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost functions.
- Develop, coach, and hold leaders and teams accountable through clear expectations, training, and performance management.
- Enforce company policies and procedures in partnership with HR, the Site Controller and operational leadership.
- Lead and sustain a continuous improvement culture across all departments.
- Own site performance to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets by setting expectations, reviewing results, and driving corrective actions with the Production and Materials team,
