Valmont is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to lead environmental, health and safety initiatives at a manufacturing site. The role involves implementing Valmont's EHS Playbook, aligning site activities with enterprise-wide EHS strategies, and detecting sub-standard performance using leading and lagging indicators.
Requirements
- Reports directly to the General/Plant Manager
- Creates annual, site-specific environmental, health and safety targets and objectives
- Manages implementation of Valmont's global EHS standards
- Leads the risk assessment process to recognize, evaluate, and control hazards
- Develops and maintains training processes to ensure required environmental, health and safety training
- Collects data for reporting and permit submittals for multi-media environmental regulatory requirements
- Serves as the site's initial point-of-contact with national and local environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies
