Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Valor Healthcare is seeking a part-time Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join its team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Danville, VA. The ideal candidate will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with mental health conditions, collaborate with a core PACT team, and develop patient management plans.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and graduate of an accredited program for nurse practitioner (MSN required)
• Certification by applicable professional organization
• Minimum three-year clinical experience as an adult mental health CRNP
• Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA)
• Must comply with and maintain all requirements for a valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment, or in any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (must be renewed periodically as specified by the certifying agency)
• Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Strong computer skills
• Energetic and optimistic demeanor
• Strong service mentality and a focus on achieving all aspects of defined service standards
