Requirements

• Actively diagnoses and treats veterans.
• Examines patients for symptoms and determines nature of illness.
• Orders and performs diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes medication and recommends dietary/activity programs.
• Counsel patients on medication use and provides health maintenance.
• Evaluates patient records and collaborates with other providers.
• Complies with VA guidelines regarding medication, documentation, and training.
