The Automation Support Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical support to customers who are using the product lines we sell. This role will collaborate with Sales and Automation team members to address customer technical challenges.
Requirements
- Perform billable contracted technical services for customers
- Provide automation troubleshooting, startup and commissioning services, technical training and technical support to customers
- Actively seek out and participate in formal and informal training opportunities
- Maintain technical expertise in key product areas
- Effectively foster relationships with customers and team members
- Participate in automation commercial events
- Provide customer assistance via telephone, email, and on-site
- Operate independently and identify additional opportunities to enhance the customer's experience
- Educate our customers on core automation products
- Learn Van Meter and Customer safety expectations and adhere to them
