Job Description
Vanderbilt University Public Safety is seeking a Police Officer - Certified to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for community-oriented policing and patrol, emergency and non-emergency response, investigation and enforcement, and judicial and administrative proceedings. They will also provide essential security, crowd control, and order maintenance for special events.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain a special police commission from the Chief Law Enforcement Official in Metropolitan Nashville within nine (9) months and maintain annual recommissioning
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience as a police officer
- Must complete and pass the departmental competency examination for consideration
