Mechanical Project Engineer

Vanderlande is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to convert ‘as-sold’ system concepts into safe, efficient, and fully integrated mechanical designs. The role requires strong capability in material handling systems, steelwork, CAD modelling, industrial automation, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Eligible for the National Engineering Register (NER); registration preferred
• Eligible for State Engineering Registration; registration preferred
• Knowledge of relevant AU/NZ standards (e.g., AS3000, machine safety standards)
• Strong 3D/2D CAD capability (AutoCAD, NAVIS, etc.)
• Solid understanding of material handling systems
• Ability to translate ‘as-sold’ concepts into detailed, integrated mechanical designs
• Knowledge of engineering processes (baselines, mechanical requirements, procurement specifications)
• Ability to support installation, commissioning, and site coordination
• Familiarity with simulations, design checks, interface management, and clash detection
