Vanderlande is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to convert āas-soldā system concepts into safe, efficient, and fully integrated mechanical designs. The role requires strong capability in material handling systems, steelwork, CAD modelling, industrial automation, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelorās degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Eligible for the National Engineering Register (NER); registration preferred
- Eligible for State Engineering Registration; registration preferred
- Knowledge of relevant AU/NZ standards (e.g., AS3000, machine safety standards)
- Strong 3D/2D CAD capability (AutoCAD, NAVIS, etc.)
- Solid understanding of material handling systems
- Ability to translate āas-soldā concepts into detailed, integrated mechanical designs
- Knowledge of engineering processes (baselines, mechanical requirements, procurement specifications)
- Ability to support installation, commissioning, and site coordination
- Familiarity with simulations, design checks, interface management, and clash detection
