Vanderlande is the global market leader in baggage handling systems for airports and sorting systems for parcel and postal services. The company has recently built a large advanced automated warehouse for one of the largest retailers in the world in Canada. As a Service Technician I, you will play a pivotal role in supporting this state-of-the-art warehouse, working closely with various teams to ensure efficient on-time preventive maintenance and swift troubleshooting when incidents arise.
Requirements
- Technician I will be relied upon for troubleshooting support for non-routine problems in the material handling system.
- Solving complex errors in an ACP system
- Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical components such as: motors, motor-gearbox assemblies, rollers, bearings, shafts, sprockets
- Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical control components such as; photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, encoders, variable frequency drives
- Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of specialty systems
- Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system
- Execution of preventive maintenance (both electrical and mechanical)
- Reporting of executed maintenance activities
- Analysis of system errors
- Replacements of machine spare parts
- Reporting of problems and maintenance activities that need attention
- Attending to call outs, faults, alarms, and warnings and monitor system from the Control Room
- Compliance with all Vanderlande programs, policies, and procedures
