Job Description
Vantage is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build features and integrations with partner systems. The role involves heavy use of external APIs and designing APIs to receive and push data. It requires a strong understanding of SQL and Python/Django, and a proven ability to troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability. The role emphasizes mentorship and a commitment to delivering high-quality services in a scalable platform.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience with software development and architecture
- Advanced SQL expertise (beyond ORM)
- Strong Python and Django experience
- Experience as a gatekeeper for database performance
- Experience with MySQL and/or Postgres
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug production code
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
