Senior EMI-EMC Engineer

Vast is seeking a Senior EMI-EMC Engineer to support the development of systems for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. The successful candidate will develop EMI-EMC requirements, work with cross-functional teams, and perform analysis and measurement on avionics sub-circuits and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related STEM discipline
• 2+ years of experience working in EMI/EMC/Physics related role
• MS in electrical engineering, physics, or related STEM discipline
• Experience in EMI/EMC, in space charging for spacecraft, triboelectrification, grounding & bonding
• Prior experience in an electronics or electrical systems design role
• Experience with software development in Matlab, Python, etc.
• Experience with digital communications standards such as Ethernet, RS-422, PCIe, GMII, etc.
• Experience with MIL-STD-461 compliance test (procedures, facilities, equipment, etc)
• Experience developing software for electronic test equipment automation
• Background in electromagnetics, ionizing radiation, and plasma effects on spacecraft systems
