Job Description
Vast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development and maintenance of its cybersecurity infrastructure for the Haven-1 space station and future commercial space habitats. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security services, partnering with engineering teams, and influencing security practices to scale. It's a full-time, exempt position in Long Beach, CA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or other engineering discipline
- 6+ years experience with building security services and configurations
- Deep security knowledge in one or more domains (e.g., cryptography, network security)
- Development experience in any modern programming language (including but not limited to Python, C++, Rust, Go)
- Experience building, shipping, and supporting security applications in the cloud
