Job Description
Vast is building artificial gravity space stations to enable long-term stays in space. They are seeking a Space Simulation Technician to support the development of their systems, including designs for artificial-gravity spaceships. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Long Beach, California, requiring 2+ years of hands-on mechanical experience.
Requirements
- Perform thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, vibration and shock testing
- Support bench top test setups and test support systems
- Develop and modify testing procedures
- Install required instrumentation on articles
- Maintain test lab and equipment
- Familiar with data acquisitions and data management
- Aid in best practices development
- Ability to train personnel on environmental test operation
- Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years hands-on mechanical experience, High School Diploma or equivalent
