Job Description
Ventana Micro Systems is seeking Application Engineering and Customer Support specialists to support the development of their high-performance RISC-V CPU cores and subsystems. The role involves customer interaction, debugging, and providing an engineering interface to field applications engineering teams. Multiple openings are available in various locations including San Francisco Bay Area, Pune, and Bangalore, India, and United States in California and Texas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related engineering fields
- 8+ years of software development with C and C++ in a Linux environment
- Hands-on experience with customer interaction, debugging, and performance bottlenecks.
- Programming experience with the Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and PCIe sub-systems.
- Experience with the GNU/LLVM tool chain and debuggers like GDB
- Knowledge of CPU architecture, ARM or X86
- Experience with virtualization and hypervisors (KVM, QEMU)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
