Job Description
Venus Aerospace is a revolutionary rocket engine propulsion company that is looking for an Information System Security Engineer to join their team. The ISSE will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems across the enterprise, working closely with IT leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders. The role combines deep technical expertise with leadership skills to guide security architecture, enforce compliance, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in information security engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or senior role
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO), encryption, identity management, and secure network design
- Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and vulnerability management platforms
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor technical teams
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
