The Senior Wastewater Operations Traveling Technician (SWOT) will operate and maintain wastewater plants at several locations around the country, assisting with new account startups, temporary operations, and covering existing facilities while local operators are out on PTO/sick time.
Requirements
- Operate and maintain wastewater plants to comply with discharge permit requirements and client expectations
- Provide direction and support to operators on other shifts
- Conduct lab analysis of waste streams and make process changes as needed
- Communicate with account manager and client regarding operation and maintenance
- Travel to assigned facilities for extended periods of time
- Write or revise Standard Operating Procedures as necessary
- Analyze lab data to uncover potential treatment issues and implement process changes
- Submit daily and/or weekly reports to client and Veolia management
- Manage chemical inventories, spare parts inventory, and waste disposal activities
- Provide training and/or facilitate training of operators for all facets of WWTP operation/management
- Perform all duties/tasks in compliance with site safety plan
- Optimize operation of wastewater treatment plant
- Lead by example and take responsibility for wastewater plant performance during shift
- Assist Veolia management with training and development of operators
- Provide direction to team on daily operation and maintenance of WWTP to ensure compliance
