Senior Backend Engineer - Device Platform

Verkada is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Core Platform team. The team is building a platform and shared services that will enable Verkada to quickly bring to market a suite of IoT devices and power their "operating system for buildings". The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed systems, high concurrency key-value storage systems, and microservices architecture.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience driving technical direction and leading teams towards project execution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mastery of at least one common server programming language (Python, Go)
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, etc
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
