Senior Backend Engineer - Device Platform

Verkada is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer - Device Platform to join the Device Platform team, which owns the backend between Verkada's cloud and hardware devices. The team is scaling the platform for the next order of magnitude and is looking for a senior engineer to architect, ship, and bring others along.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building backend services with consistency, latency, and uptime guarantees at scale
• Fluency in at least one server language - Python or Go preferred; adjacent languages like Ruby or JavaScript (NodeJs) welcome
• Skilled at listening to other engineering teams, shaping shared technical direction, and shipping changes they can build on without surprise
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency for FedRAMP compliance, and onsite presence five days per week
