Senior Backend Engineer

Verkada is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Core Command team, responsible for designing scalable control planes and data primitives for Verkada's core products, building scalable distributed systems, and spinning up new services in a microservices architecture.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience in building and scaling access systems to millions of users around the world
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mastery of at least one of Python or Go
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)
• Experience with key-value storage systems (Redis, Memcached)
• Experience with distributed queueing (Kafka) and caching (Redis, Memcached)
• Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with React
• Experience with GRPC and API specifications
