Machine Operator

This Machine Operator position involves operating press brakes, punch machines, and other production equipment to assemble sheetmetal parts and complete production schedules. The role requires adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles. Safety and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements

• Perform setup and complete production schedules by following directions on the press brake programs.
• Operate press brake to add bends, pem insertion machines to add pem fasteners to sheetmetal parts, mask and/or unmask sheetmetal parts.
• Operate the punch machines.
• Follow instructions assigned by the supervisor, engineers & managers.
• Accurately report production information to supervisors and managers.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Troubleshoot defective processes.
• Support ISO Quality System, Quality Policy and Continuous Improvement efforts.
• Safety hazard identification and elimination.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to perform job function while standing for an entire shift, including overtime when necessary.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
