Job Description
The Thermal Field Service Technician is responsible for the startup, commissioning, and scheduled or emergency service on data center cooling systems. The employee must pass the EPA the EPA608 license within 6 months of their hire date. The Field Service Technician will establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.
Requirements
- Experience working with Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with electrical / electronic test equipment and fundamentals
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Computer skills and understanding computer logic
- HVAC basic understanding preferred, but not required
- Elementary fix/repair techniques based on directed supervision
- Understanding of Psychrometrics
- Strong mathematical capabilities
- Ability to work on ladders or work comfortably at heights and on roofs
- Have an EPA608 license or take the EPA 608 license exam and pass the test within 6 months of being hired.
